Fantastic tour of the new Tibet (with a touch of the old). It's clear that the US has been misrepresenting the entire situation there, what the Chinese agenda and activities are. What's new? The US believes it needs enemies. It makes up whatever lies are necessary to create them. The tragedy is that so many Americans believing the lies are deprived of the opportunity to enjoy other cultures, to appreciate a dramatically different (better) way of doing things. They continue to accept the inconveniences and frustrations of a dying empire as normal, believing that it just has to be that way. I've visited and lived in 35 countries since leaving the US in 2006. Believe me, there are a lot of amazing things going on in the world, millions of people with more fulfilling and enjoyable lives than what the typical American has learned to tolerate.

Thank you for sharing Lee, it looks so beautiful. I haven't believed the gov. since 1963! But do know that RED NOTE is changing everything, people are able to talk to each other and find out what China is really all about. Also how we Americans are getting screwed 😉

Lee Camp, sadly, passed away yesterday. He passed out from the lack of oxygen while running from a crazed yak in a Tibeten field, and fell face down into a pile of yakpoop. Rest in Peace, Handsome man.

Dude building infrastructure in areas of poverty is gross…. Like will it be for vacation homes for the rich??

At 16:45 you say that "China made these empty cities, and they're meaningless, and they're useless"

......., which reminds me of the movie where Kevin Kostner gets a message: "Build it, and they will come."

....., and when they do, these empty cities will flourish, and vast amounts of wealth will be created.

At 3:17 into this clip you say: "I don't know that we build large infrastructure any more. Do we?"

Whenever somebody talks about the US government spending (or not spending) money on domestic projects I ask the following question:

How on God's green earth would that benefit Israel?

That article's from 2013. Amnesty is sometimes good and sometimes merely a tool of Western hegemony. It took them 63 years to call Israel an apartheid state. It took them almost a year of genocide in Gaza to call it a genocide or ethnic cleansing. The US has the largest prison state in the world and Amnesty never mentions it. The US prison system is incredibly racist, locking up 1 out of 3 black men at some point in their lives - Amnesty never mentions it. ...I used to hold them up as gospel too.

Of course you don't want a comparison to the US because it makes you sound silly. But I brought it up because you specifically asked if Amnesty was reliable. I showed you that it is not. So now you're shifting gears into whether Al Jazeera is reliable. It depends on the topic. Al Jazeera is funded by Qatar - a US ally. Al Jazeera is good on Palestine but very bad on other things. The "uighur genocide" accusations are so hilariously false it takes about 30 seconds of research to debunk. You know they're laughable because when asked about the accusations, US officials moved the goal posts to say it was a "cultural genocide" because no Uighurs had been killed. Is there racism against Uighurs in China? Probably. I don't know. But there are also Uighurs everywhere in China as well as mosques. That certainly looks like a rather weird genocide. ...Please move on with the next goal post shifting.
